Princes Lake is a town in Nineveh Township in Johnson County in the state of Indiana. This area was named for the four lakes in the area, each of which contains Princes in its name.

Princes East Lake is a part of a private lake community that prides itself on caring about its community and providing a pleasant environment for residents.

Princes East Lake is conveniently close to the state’s capital, Indianapolis. You can be in the city in under an hour’s drive up Interstate 65. Due to the lake’s proximity to I-65, you can easily travel to Kentucky and other southern states.

Fishing and Boating

The East Lake Lot Owners Association does a great job of caring for the fishing population in Princes East Lake. In 2018, they stocked the lake with yellow perch to increase the community and have regular check-ups with the Environmental Committee to have fish surveys done.

Largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, redear sunfish, longear sunfish, warmouth, brown bullhead, and yellow bullhead can also be found.

Motorized watercraft are permitted on Princes East Lake. Enjoy the refreshing spray of the water as you whip across the lake on your speedboat. Jet skis are not allowed, but paddleboats, rowboats, sailboats, canoes, and kayaks are permitted and are great ways to explore the lake.

You can get your adrenaline rush in by water skiing, tubing, swimming, or diving in Princes East Lake.

Visit Indianapolis

If you want to make the hour drive to Indianapolis, you will not be disappointed. Families can visit the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Zoo and enjoy the exhibits, animals, and learning opportunities throughout the zoo.
