Liberty Lake is located just outside Randallstown (Baltimore County), Maryland, and spans 9,200 acres. Washington D.C. is 53 miles south, and Baltimore is 29 miles southeast.

Northwest Hospital is nine miles away. Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is 24 miles from Liberty Lake.

Life on the Water

There are plenty of activities here to do on and off the water. There are miles of hiking trails, perfect for a relaxing walk or heart-pumping run. Visitors and residents alike love to spend time on the water in a kayak, canoe, or electric boat, as motorized craft aren't allowed.

Fishing is a popular pastime, with species like striped bass, white perch, largemouth/smallmouth bass, crappie, and walleye. Striped bass have been naturally reproducing here since being stocked in the 1980s, with some now reaching the 40-pound range.

Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area is 1,900-acres and has several hiking trails for all to enjoy. The area is home to several rare minerals, insects, and even numerous endangered plant species.

Visit Delight Quarry Local Open Space and enjoy the beautiful quarry and all of its surroundings. There is a paved walking trail for all to enjoy! This is a great place to take the whole family!

Oregon Ridge Nature Center offers several unique exhibits about the wildlife in the area and its history. There are several different trails for all skill levels and nature programs for those interested!

Grab a bite to eat at one of the local hotspots like Granny’s Restaurant, Linwoods, or Glyndon Grill.
