Lake Mattoon encompasses 1,065 acres of eastern Illinois. It can be as deep as 45 feet with an average depth of 11 feet. Its 56 miles of shoreline are decorated with hickory, oak, and walnut trees that create a beautiful scene.

Events

June is home to one of Lake Mattoon's favorite events, the Annual Y-Flyer Fleet 39 Regatta. Independence Day and Bagel Fest are events following in July.
